The Problem

The website was very slow, had no data tracking, and included a shopping cart that slowed it down and wasn’t updated.  The payment processing didn’t work, and they had items listed in stock that, in fact, needed to be custom ordered and imported to the island.  Orders were slipping through the cracks, and customers were getting frustrated.  Many had opted to bring their own florist for their celebration in the Turks and Caicos Islands.

The Solution

After removing the website’s clunky eCommerce cart and re-establishing a smaller and more efficient cart, I encouraged them to set the company up as an authority for Turks & Caicos wedding planning. After further discovery discussions, the owners decided they wanted to attract people to consult with them for free about planning a destination wedding on the islands. We decided to create and build a long-form pillar page linked to from other parts of the site and across the web to draw attention to their knowledge, skill, and concierge-style service

Wedding Pillar Page WordPress Design

Goals

The primary goal was to establish and grow organic traffic (by 20-25% per month) from wedding and event planners by creating a resourceful wedding page and a stunning wedding events gallery.

The Results

Monthly Page Traffic Comparison

We relaunched the site in early June 2021.  An initial increase was seen from 8/16 to 9/15 compared with 7/16 to 8/15, the latter of which is the first whole month of data tracking. Not a bad increase!  I’ll be keeping an eye on this page’s traffic for the coming months as we develop and deploy a branded content marketing funnel through his WordPress website.

Without a funnel in place to track, we aren’t yet able to determine any growth in sales.  The client, however, is exceedingly pleased with the design and response from his staff and current customers.

This is pretty important information, which is why I ask for your contact info. Don’t worry. It’s never shared with anyone, and I’m a stickler for security.
